Brought on to the Marketing and Social team for various media projects as a video editor, graphic designer, and digital strategist. I helped relaunch their TikTok account, working with a team to source and post engaging content. I also assisted in their YouTube brand refresh, offering guidance for platform-specific channel updates. Additionally, I assisted the Community Team as an Events Group specialist, working to help hone content on the platform.

Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

Worked closely with Sean Milan, the Founder of House of A.W.T. (Artists Working Together) and a founding member of the West Coast House and Ballroom scene, to create the most cutting edge youth-centered non-profit community arts organizations for Queer people of color serving the Los Angeles area. The House of A.W.T.'s mission is to offer tangible support and allow young LGBTQIA+ people of color to work side-by-side with professional artists to gain free studio art training in various urban art forms including dance, audio/video production, fashion, music production, and street art. The House of A.W.T. is unique in that they serve a very specific under-served population with arts mentoring, supporting the creative health of the Los Angeles area. While there, I worked as the Media Manager and Web Designer, in charge of external communications, community education, program coordination, and digital strategy. I quickly learned all new technology to execute my responsibilities around content creation, information architecture, and graphic design, as well as large event execution. On an average day, I would work on the organization’s website, meet with the team to coordinate and schedule upcoming collaborations, as well as create and publish digital content for our social media accounts.

Groveland, Ca

I worked independently as well as with a team of three coworkers to consistently and dependably manage the logistic tasks surrounding the daily functions of a large and complex system of staff and campers. I was in charge of managing highly sensitive physical files, as well as generating and maintaining a plethora of important online documents used daily for the logistical functioning of the camp. I monitored and responded to time-sensitive communications through 2-way radio and telephone calls as well as through email, keeping a calm and professional demeanor at all times. I managed the canteen, organizing, logging, and even designing camp merchandise as well as delivering all items to each camper. This job was very fast-paced, requiring me to think on my feet about many constantly changing high-level priorities with very little room for error. For example, on an average day, I would be in charge of maintaining an orderly office environment, charged with the coordination and execution of multiple different tasks, while simultaneously fielding the daily communications in and out of camp.

Claremont, California

I was a CCEPS Fellow with the Claremont College Library and the Center for Engaging with Primary Sources. I worked with the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) on digitizing primary historical source documents from the local area (Claremont and Upland, CA). I gained hands-on experience with library archives, metadata, and information architecture. An average day would include scanning the historical documents, analyzing the content of the documents, entering metadata, and filing them in their online system.
