For this Master's thesis internship, the most pivotal sector of Venaria Reale (VR) — specifically, the industrial segment (located in the southern part of VR) — has been selected as the focus due to its history of significant flooding events. Throughout the internship, the primary objective encompassed comprehending the existing state of VR to discern prevalent challenges and formulate strategies to surmount these concerns. The ultimate goal was to establish water conduits from the sewage system to the disused channel known as Druento. This endeavour involved integrating prior studies and projects, notably the unexecuted Life20 CCA initiative, with the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This amalgamation was driven by the congruence of objectives in specific articles within both frameworks, aimed at fostering effective interventions within urban contexts and harmonizing them with nature-based solutions, including the implementation of green infrastructure.
