Sailing Instructor
CurrentBegan as a junior foundation coach of Junior classes Opti Green Fleet, Opti Intermediate & Opti Open Fleet, Sabot's, Flying 11's, 29er's, Laser 4.7's and Laser Radial's (Now known as ILCA 4's & ILCA 6's)I am also a Qualified Australian Sailing Instructor, my role here is to teach new sailors through specific course structures to help them understand sailing and control sail boats. I have been heavily involved with Sail and Play, Tackers 1, Tackers 2, Tackers 3 which are based at a kids age group. These courses teach them how to sail from the beginning to eventually progress into Opti Green Fleet to begin development racing. I have also run many Adult based courses through the squadron, Start Sailing 1 & 2 as well as a diverse range of Keel Boat programs helping adults gain a practical hands on experience in sailing. Many of these student sailors go on to begin racing or begin cruising the world of their own purchased vessels. Many of these courses can be run as corporate events through Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, I have had the opportunity to meet some great people and has allowed many people to experience sailing from a Fun, Involving and Safe way.
