The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) is happy to announce the hiring of one graduate assistant for the 2024-25 Academic Year. Joining the USCAA as the Coordinator of Marketing and Events is Matt Forbes. Forbes began his career with the USCAA as a student-athlete and will continue his experience as he transitions to a support role in the national office. He will assist the Assistant Director of Championships and Marketing, Jared Sullenberger, in the coordination of championship events, publication of press releases, development of social media and digital content and will help keep all members up to date on important news.Forbes graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and Business from Penn State Fayette in 2024. He is now enrolled as a graduate student at Penn West California studying Sports Management. During his time at Penn State Fayette he worked with the athletic department as a gameday team member.An active member of the National Student Leadership Society, Forbes has had the opportunity to develop his leadership skills and contribute meaningful initiatives while on campus at Penn State Fayette. On the athletics side, Forbes played basketball for Penn State Fayette. During his time as a student-athlete, he was a 1,000 point scorer and a team captain.His passion for sports extends beyond the court though, as Forbes helps coach youth basketball teams, volunteering for community basketball camps and other sports related activities and events in his community. USCAA Chief Operating Officer, BJ Bertges states, "The USCAA is lucky to have Matt join our team for the upcoming academic year. A former USCAA student-athlete, he will bring a fresh perspective on our championship events and his experience with social media and desire to help student-athletes as it relates to mental health and wellbeing will be another unique resource for our current student athletes, coaches, and administrators."

Started as a care giver to the clients with intellectual disabilities. Working there for years learning new skills and trainings to apply while also getting my degree. When I graduated I was then promoted to my new position. Now I'm a few positions below the CEO of the company from my hard work. Learning how to properly run a successful company.
