My role as Marketing Manager was to ensure that researchers in life sciences could easily find our lab and services when needing data and analysis that reveal insights into their therapeutic candidates. By using the website and social profiles as beacons to get in front of a very niche audience and then connecting with current and potential clients while attending industry events, we had an opportunity to meet great minds who are shaping the life sciences world with innovative research.

In this role I oversaw all SEM and social media strategies, working in tandem with vendors on a daily basis. I was a copywriter and editor in this role, touching every blog, press release, email, and video. While keeping an eye on budget and ROI, I continually researched the latest lead generation methods to produce quality leads to the sales team.

I served as Marketing Coordinator for this intellectual property law firm where I was responsible for the design and production of printed marketing materials, template designs, and website content. I managed a complete redesign of the website with an outside design firm and completed the project on budget and in the recommended timeline. Once the project was complete I was responsible for all content and site maintenance. I developed template designs for PowerPoint presentations and developed the content for a wide range of audiences. On a monthly or quarterly basis I would develop client status reports that were distributed to an executive level audience. In regards to branding, I worked with an established brand but made sure the logo and tag lines were following the branding guidelines to maintain a strategic image. I designed additional logos for different product lines to fit within the overall brand image.

Imported climbing equipment from Eastern Europe and China. Sold products on a wholesale and retail level. Managed retail sales via web sites, gained popularity through price points and SEO activities. Managed day to day operations including inventory management, order processing/fulfillment, shipping/receiving, bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and customer service. Attended the BIG industry trade show, OR (Outdoor Retailer) in the SLC.

Managed a sales territory for 1/8 of the country for a student travel program. Organized 200+ sales events at universities and colleges and trained and organized teacher/leader volunteers. Responsible for a million dollar sales budget. My favorite moment in this position is when I was on an observation travel trip in Canberra, Austrailia and was interviewed on the BBC radio station regarding the sport travel program.
