Serve as a countywide elected trustee on the seven-member governance board for the San Mateo County Office of Education, approving the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and $100 million operating budget. In this role, also serve as an appeal board member for the adjudication of expulsion appeals, interdistrict attendance appeals, and charter school petition appeals from 23 local school districts.
