About Hassan Chaudhury Honfapm

[I apologise in advance for being difficult to get hold of - I’ve been described as easy to find, but hard to reach. Sadly, it’s not possible to read all the messages I receive, even after warm introductions].I hold an unusually broad portfolio, wearing many hats, across digital health and medtech. I gather people, and connect them to advance the health innovation ecosystem. I also want to align the innovation journey, so we adopt solutions at scale. If you are in UK digital health, but have never heard of me, something has gone wrong.————————I am part of the commercial team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, and the Commercial Director at DATA-CAN: the HDRUK Hub for Cancer, which is hosted at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT).I am also a co-founder at Vita; a consultancy that supports innovators to scale, and for health systems to adopt innovation. Our thesis is that health innovation is adopted differently by users and enterprises than in other sectors (Fintech, Agritech etc.). It therefore requires different approaches. Without this care, adoption stalls as does scale. That’s why we believe ‘adoptable health innovation scales’. This is compounded by how the innovation journey is misaligned; from innovators who require adoption to those who accelerate it to those who invest in it to those who ultimately adopt it.I mentor at accelerators including P4, and am also a NED at Opto Health, an Expert-in-Residence at London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE) at King's College London (which is effectively the national centre for MedTech and SaMD), a Visiting Lecturer at UCL Global Business School for Health, a Vice Chair of the HIMSS UK & Ireland Community, and an Associate at Candesic. My background is in health and social care, particularly around health informatics, and I have been a founder of a real world data agency which exported to multiple foreign jurisdictions before a successful, bootstrapped exit (Health iQ sold to CorEvitas, LLC in 2019).Between 2018 to 2022, I was the subject matter expert on global digital health for the UK Department for International Trade (DIT, now the DBT), advising commercial teams in UK Embassies across 96 countries. I delivered the #First100 Playbook in 2021 and the #Beyond100 Playbook in 2022 (c.f. bit.ly/beyond100).In 2024, APNA NHS presented me with their Shining Light Award, The Association of Project Management named me as an Honorary Fellow, and EqualityX named me in the Top 50 Influential Muslims in Europe.

Listed skills include Informatics, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Industry, Strategy, and 45 others.
