About Helen Colosimo

Helen Colosimo led research, market intelligence, and knowledge management for Korn Ferry’s Corporate and Government Affairs Center of Expertise. Responsible for knowledge capture, organization, sharing, and utilization for the practice, she provided market analysis, competitive intelligence, and opportunity identification/business development as well as candidate research and search execution for senior-level federal, state, and international government affairs searches for major corporations and trade associations in a broad range of industries. Before joining the Government Affairs team in 2011, Helen was Operations and Government Relations Manager for the National Alliance of Forest Owners (NAFO), working with the Board of Directors, President & CEO, Vice President of Government Affairs and NAFO PAC.In addition, for over a decade Helen served as adjunct faculty, subject matter expert, course developer, and mentor for Ivy Tech Community College, the statewide community college system of Indiana, and largest singly accredited community college system in the United States. Ms. Colosimo is a veteran of Capitol Hill, holding positions on the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, first for Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings (D-SC) and later as Research and Legislative Assistant for Senator Daniel Inouye (D-HI). She began her career in the office of Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and has also worked at professional associations including the Association of College Unions International (ACUI). A graduate of Roanoke College in Salem, VA, Ms. Colosimo also earned a master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from the Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) at The George Washington University.
