Worked as part of a team developing a socio-economic baseline and value chain analysis of the MD blue crab fishery as part of the consideration of alternative management techniques and policies for the fishery. Helped coordinate and implement the final stages of the successful campaign for the creation of the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. Coordinated efforts with several regionally based teams and worked as part of the local team to resolve issues as they arose. Commanded navigational watches as a US Coast Guard licensed Master on traditionally rigged tall ships of 97’-157’ and crews of 7-16, with responsibility for the safety of the ship, passengers, and crew.
