As an operational visionary, I honed in on my excitement to build creative processes and guidelines for the Milligan Partners team in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. I worked collaboratively with our team to ensure all tasks were kept on track and on budget based on project goals and schedule. With a blend of skills including leadership, influence, business insight, communications, and project management skills I fostered my ability to build relationships, applied critical thinking and took the initiative to drive results. I utilized influence and innovation, my relentless curiosity and problem-solving to get things done.

I helped bridge the gap between policy, emerging technology, and communities. In order to do that, I assisted businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations as they tried to make an impact in the emerging mobility and innovation landscape. With a particular interest and experience in customer and client services, public outreach, and stakeholder engagement, especially around mobility and innovation policy and strategy, I brought broad experience and a clear understanding of a user’s position in the mobility space, and worked around their needs to safely, efficiently, and equitably move from place to place. With integrity and a holistic approach to problem solving, I helped clients design solutions that improve their operations, allowing them to better navigate the challenges of tomorrow.

I supported the State and Local Policy Program (SLPP) research, outreach and education efforts to improve transportation, workplace and economic development policy. My main focus was to lead SLPP operations and strategic positioning, while also identifying, creating, and coordinating opportunities to publicize SLPP research and related events.

In this role, my objective was to help improve transportation options for older adults and people with disabilities in Dakota County. By establishing and enhancing partnerships with key stakeholders and community members, I built a strong network that worked together to improve coordination for transportation services. To strengthen this network, I grew and led a collaborative group to ensure we stayed on track with our strategic plan, and that our effort aligned with the Dakota County Community Services' mission to bring customers to a level in which they thrive. One of the major achievements we made was the branding of the Go Dakota initiative, which is still intact today. This work was supported by an FTA grant administered by MnDOT, and I was responsible for managing all aspects of this grant.

I was hired by CDM Smith to continue my work on the MnPASS project, and to augment my skill set in transportation outreach. Additionally, I provided analytical and technical support for transportation planning programs nationwide (especially MN, TX, and CA), and collaborated with staff from local governments and regional transportation agencies. My areas of particular interest and experience are in public outreach and stakeholder engagement, and I was brought onto several projects to fulfill that role. I have established a solid network of contacts from both the public and private sector, and maintain those contacts to date.

My role was to enhance the presence of MnPASS within the communities and businesses surrounding the project. Duties included planning and implementing community events and open houses, coordination of staff and partners during events, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and the client. In addition to these duties, my time was spent supporting day to day operations oversight of MnPASS, assessing data and trends to support further promotional campaigns, participating in meetings with all team members, and coordinating and maintaining supplies and inventory needed to achieve successful events. I created useful tools to ensure accurate tracking methods for established contacts as well as the performance of events. I brought many years of experience in customer service to the team, and my attention to detail is one of the key elements to meeting the overall needs for each community event.

In this position, I was responsible for a classroom of students while transporting them to various activities safely within the education system. Duties include performing daily inspections of my assigned vehicle as required by the state, maintaining leadership and discipline to my students, communicating between all staff members in the transportation department, and attending mandatory meetings as needed for ongoing training. This position was especially helpful in my desire to have opportunities to educate students as well as be involved in the education industry, while also providing me with valuable insight into transportation operations.
