Providing first point of contact support for the Core Neighbourhoods at Work Program. Assessing needs of participants and making appropriate referrals to internal and external services, including scheduling appointments for individual support with Employment Coordinators. Assisting participants with computer skills, internet use, applications, photocopying and faxing. Providing information on employment and skills training programs, and administering online training to participants. When program needs require, filling the role of employment coordinator; taking one on one appointments with participants to assess and support their needs for job seeking and education and providing comprehensive case management. Writing and reviewing resumes and cover letters and teaching these skills to participants. Providing job coaching and job search assistance, as well as identifying barriers to employment and addressing these barriers through in house supports or external referrals through community collaboration.

Providing crisis childcare services to families and children from diverse backgrounds through assessment, referrals and direct care. Caring for up to 12 children from newborn to age 12 in a home setting. Performing intake assessments for children over the phone with caregivers and social workers, and accepting or refusing clients based on eligibility for services. Handling all intake and discharge paperwork with caregivers and social workers. Advocating for children and their families with social workers and other agencies such as the Children's Advocate. Attending emergency medical appointments with children. General housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed including meal preparation. File and case management with accurate documentation and reporting. Scheduling short term staff cover off following union procedures. Fielding general community inquiries about services and providing appropriate referrals where necessary.
