As the Tissue Processing Manager at CorneaGen, a leading company in corneal transplantation and innovation, I oversee the processing of donor corneas for transplant and research purposes. I ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards, and manage the data entry and inventory of corneal tissue and related products, using various databases and software tools. I have 12+ years of experience in the field of biotechnology, and I hold a certification as a Certified Eye Bank Technician (CEBT) issued by Eye Bank Association of America.In my previous role as Tissue Processing Lead, I was responsible for training and mentoring new and existing staff, as well as implementing and improving processing protocols and procedures. I have a strong background in biotechnology, having obtained an Associate's degree in Applied Science and Biotechnology from Forsyth Technical Community College. I am currently pursuing another Associate's degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, to enhance my skills in financial management and analysis. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of people with corneal diseases and disorders, and I am committed to advancing the field of corneal science and technology.
