Everyone benefits when young people are actively engaged in demanding, improving, happy, well-coached games. By helping all kids to play sports, we’re helping America to a better future. NO KID SHALL BE LEFT ON THE SIDELINESKids Play USA Foundation is a national, charitable organization based in Maryland that was formed to remove the financial barriers to participation in youth sports through advocacy, creative program and financial assistance. Today playing organized youth sports has a price tag. Expenses such as team enrollment fees, equipment and uniform costs, travel and other expenses are often substantial and are beyond the already stretched budget of many families. Consequently, their children are not able to play on organized youth teams resulting in a significant portion of America’s children not being engaged in sports and recreation. They are often idle and alone and their number is growing. Kids Play USA is committed to changing this.

•Manage a portfolio of 730+ sponsored research grants, both Federal and non-Federal, awarded to either individual Principal Investigators or to Brigham and Women’s Hospital or Massachusetts General Hospital on behalf of a Principal Investigator. •Responsible for the completion of all financial reporting, including confirmation of reporting requirements which includes, but is not limited to, the terms and conditions of the award, Federal, State, and institutional policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, verification of budget, allowable costs, revenue allocation, outstanding encumbrances, and cost sharing requirements while maintaining consistent and efficient communication with the department administrator to ensure accuracy of reported expenditures as well as timely submission to the sponsor. •Responsible for the review, approval, and processing of department submitted standard cost transfers as well as review, analytical data collection, and processing of self created cost transfers and specialized cost transfers which require management approval. •Verify, reconcile, and approve subcontract agreement invoices, while serving a liaison between the subcontract institution and the prime entity to rectify any invoicing errors and/or department requests. •Ensure timely grant closeout of expired awards which requires implementation of an inactivation strategy, consistent communication with department administrators on delegation of responsibilities and resolution progress as well as detailed fund monitoring to ensure grant budget, expenditures, and revenue are in line with what has previously been reported to the sponsor.
