The CSU Legal Information Clinic provides free legal information, referrals, and accompaniment in both French and English to students, CSU clubs, and other associations. The CSU Legal Information Clinic is dedicated to improving access to justice and enhancing legal literacy. As a supervising lawyer, I train, lead, and monitor teams of 3 to 6 law student volunteers, ensuring student users receive respectful and professional services. My responsibilities include:• Managing case assignments, verifying the accuracy of legal information provided, and ensuring timely processing of cases. • Developing and implementing internal protocols and practices to streamline operations and enhance the clinic’s capacity and service quality. • Coordinating and facilitating referrals to other CSU departments and external community organizations so that student users receive the comprehensive support needed to navigate their legal issues effectively.• Ensuring that the services provided are culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, and delivered through an empowerment model.

Through research, education, advocacy, and legal action, DTMF-RHFW promotes and defends the fundamental rights of household and farm workers in Quebec and Canada, in particular those with precarious immigration status.In this role, I develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the organization’s strategic priorities. My responsibilities include: • Closely monitoring legislative, regulatory, and policy developments to identify key opportunities for advocacy actions.• Developing and maintaining partnerships with migrant rights advocacy organizations at provincial and national levels, as well as coordinating collaborative advocacy efforts on an ad hoc basis and through working groups, committees, and campaigns.• Participating in consultations with parliamentary committees and government departments, both through direct representation and by drafting briefs and submissions. • Providing recommendations on key messaging and developing communications materials, including newsletters, presentations, social media posts, open letters, press releases, and other advocacy-related content.• Providing legal advice and strategic planning to support the organization's strategic litigation projects. • Working with the executive team to develop and implement internal policies and procedures to foster a positive and productive work environment consistent with the organization’s values.
