As a Team Lead, I managed a team of four Senior Reviewers - weekly schedules, vacation requests, etc. My role also included working closely with other Team Leads to keep the workload balanced across our department, as well as manage client accounts. As a Senior Reviewer, I review LEED-NC v2.2/v2009, LEED-CS v2.2/2009/v4, LEED-SC v2009/v4, LEED EB-O+M v2009/v4 precertification, design, construction, and appeal submittals. This role also included technical writing and editing, as well as training new hires.As a Sustainability Consultant, I served as Project Manager for multiple commercial projects across the US pursuing LEED or Georgia Peach certification, including warehouses, schools, libraries, hotels, offices, and retail buildings. I also consulted on Georgia Peach projects.

I worked at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory (SREL), monitoring the health and development of an artificial wetland. During that time, I:- Arranged and attended bimonthly water sampling trips and biannual sediment sampling trips to an artificial wetland- Performed a variety of water quality tests- Performed molecular analysis of sediment samples - Developed a qualitative PCR technique for use with these samples- Organized and managed a large data set - 3 years of sampling over 10 sites and with 12 - 15 analytes- Managed the overall laboratory schedule- Performed data analysis using the statistical program R

I worked in conjunction with the Gills Creek Watershed Association, monitoring water quality in the City of Columbia by analyzing fecal coliform levels and collecting water samples for further analyses from 6 sites bi-monthly. Our team also surveyed 20 additional sites and analyzed water flow at 30 additional sites.

Panama

I was an undergraduate researcher at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's field station in Gamboa, Panama. During that summer I performed research with a partner on the interaction between the development of tadpoles of the red-eyed treefrog and their environment, analyzed water quality and invertebrate communities in mesocosm, and worked with the entire lab on a large project addressing developmental plasticity and time to metamorphosis in response to various predator conditions

Virginia

I was an undergraduate researcher at the Mountain Lake Biological Station, outside of Blacksburg, Virginia. During that summer I performed an independent research project on the role of maternal effects and the larval environment on developmental plasticity in a pond-breeding amphibian, the eastern red-spotted newt, and assisted my mentor with her doctoral research on the same organism.
