WHO IS TODD DIXON, aka, the Health IT Guy? ►I have been an entrepreneur since I was 11 years old and have been in a variety of businesses over the years. I founded Iron Comet 20 years ago when I noticed a distinct gap in computer services for small businesses in my area. Most companies focused on home users and didn't have the necessary focus for the small business. In addition, most of these types of companies didn't seem to last very long and this left business owners hanging. Iron Comet was created to fill this gap.I really enjoy the challenge of working with physicians and business owners. I had to build this from nothing and have gotten good at adapting myself, and my company, to meet the new challenges clients face. Hard work, combined with tenacity, creativity, and clear communication can resolve any client challenge.I love it when a client tells me that I made their cybersecurity, HIPAA compliance issues, or computer problems a thing of the past. Especially when they were discouraged for so long and thought that this is "just how is it is". My passion is helping that physician or business owner get over that hurdle so that they can focus on their own business. That is what drives me. Technology should help you, not hold you back or slow you down. PERSONAL NOTE:The three things I'm most passionate about are cybersecurity, Muay Thai, and learning just about anything. My life as a cybersecurity expert, author, and business owner has given me the opportunity to travel a good bit. That has allowed me to experience the "digital nomad" phenomenon and work from a variety of places. From St. Louis Ice Cream in BGC to Muchos, Clarke Quay in Singapore, I love to work in different places. Oh, the Muay Thai. Don't let that discourage you from contacting me. Nothing like having a teenager remind you that you are not as good as you thought you were to keep you humble.I struggled with my weight my whole life. A lightbulb went off a few years ago and through healthy eating, weight lifting, and Muay Thai, I was able to lose 150 pounds.
