A young, motivated professional in the field striving to make a difference in the recovery and healthcare community. Having grown up in Sydney, Australia, I presently reside in Western Wisconsin, previously studying in Minneapolis at North Central University under Dr. Ron Jewett. Following internships in Alcohol & Drug Counseling (At Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, and Hazelden), I entered the clinical field working at Park Avenue Center in Minneapolis for two years prior to relocating and taking a position with Canvas Health for two years. During my employment at Canvas Health I had many fantastic opportunities including working with management to plant and facilitate a Substance Use Program within Chisago County Jail. While working in this capacity, our organization begun an enormous overhaul of technology from transitioning to hybrid/remote work (due to COVID), telehealth implementation, a complete replacement of our Electronic Health Record system, and undertaking the goal of becoming a CCBHC. My ability in computing, clinical knowledge, and problem solving quickly became recognized and utilized, as I was invited by executive leadership to assist in all these changes, joining the various interdepartmental workgroups to achieve these goals. After relocating to Eau Claire, WI I was no longer able to maintain my in-person position at Chisago County Jail, and was asked to stay on as a consultant to continue the workgroup tasks I had been helping with for the past year in a remote capacity. After great personal consideration and consultation with past colleagues, at this time I am seeking employment in the Electronic Health Record Sales, Implementation, and Training field. I am currently working towards obtaining my COMPTIA A+ and Network+ certifications to further bolster my IT Resume.
