my career started out as a apprentice surface grinders 26 years ago. The program was a 4 year program and after that I was a Journeyman Surface grinder. I held this title for 15 years then took some classes for cnc machining and transfered into the toolroom with the same company and ran manual machines that led into 3 and 5 axis machining. The company was involved with the medical market and again I transfered into the medical side of machining mostly 5 axis. My knowledge and work ethics led me to getting promoted into our Apprentice Supervisor roll which I was responsible for making sure our instructors taught our new apprentice the basics before moving them to the shop floor. I was responsible for the hiring of new apprentice and administering the test for them to get into the program. At one point we had 68 Apprentice.
