Research & Development (R&D) and acting sustainably are part of the HOCHTIEF corporate strategy and important factors for long-term success–and they're closely interrelated. Promoting these interfaces is the objective of the Sustainable Development Charter which HOCHTIEF, as a member of encord, the European Network of Construction Companies for Research and Development, has now signed. Under the terms of the Charter, HOCHTIEF and 19 other European construction companies undertake to integrate sustainability principles into their corporate strategies and–especially in the area of Research & Development–to promote them.
