Deep understanding of Chinese business culture - 2/3 months per year spent in-country building customer relationships and new markets.

Consultant to Cleanseas Tuna (Port Lincoln, Australia) – www.cleanseas.com.au. Worked in partnership with EU Sales & Marketing Director to further US & EU sales of Yellowtail Kingfish (Hiramasa), Mulloway and Southern Bluefin Tuna. Co-‐managed all US & EU sales markets – including Russia. Annual sales volume circa 1000mt and revenue 12 million euros per annum.

Ongoing role as seafood broker - consulting/sales clients include: Cloudy Bay Clams, OceaNZ Blue Abalone, Indian Ocean Rock Lobster, Quality Ocean (NZ finfish – snapper, john dory, red gurnard, etc.), Huon Salmon, MSC Spencer Gulf King Prawns and Kaipara Oysters.

European Sales Manager for Atunes del Maresme, SA – Tunamar (Cadiz, Spain) – www.tunamar.eu. Managed European sales of minus 60 sashimi-­‐grade frozen and refreshed YF, BE, ALB and SKJ Tuna. Also traded in by-­‐catch species such as oilfish, mahi-­‐mahi, and marlin. Successfully introduced Tunamar to retail market in United Kingdom ensuring sales to both Japanese food service and retail channels (Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, M&S & Asda). Sold circa 350mt of premium sashimi-­‐grade tuna loins to UK market alone. Other accomplishments are development of ongoing sales with the leading Italian fresh wholesaler, the leading German fresh tuna wholesaler and the premium sushi player in Denmark. Instrumental in successful commercial launch of first MSC-­‐approved sashimi-­‐grade tuna in Europe – pole and line SKJ tuna from Japan. Directly responsible for annual sales of circa 5 million euros per annum.

Operationally managed team of 80-­‐people as well as Northern EU Sales. “Right-­‐hand man” to MD. Business interests/sourcing from Senegal and Mauritania among others. Family-­‐run Barcelona based wholesaler with focus on fresh tuna and swordfish as well as cuttlefish and squid, hake, dover sole, yellowtail, codfish, mako shark, etc. Annual sales ranging from circa 10 to 25 million euros per annum.
