• To lead the Burckhardt Compression (US) field service team in growing the business to maximize field service opportunities that will meet and exceed our sales and profitability targets.• To put in place a field service strategy for growth with the necessary procedures and practices to monitor and manage the field service business on a day-to-day basis including, but not limited to, proposals, order entry details, invoicing protocol and collections.• To be responsible for providing technical field service support to our customers and internal groups as needed.• To ensure that Burckhardt Compression has the qualified and training field reps needed to support the customer base. This would include cross-training the reps on both BC/OBC units.• To seek opportunities through face-to-face interaction, to provide field service in the respective market areas for BC and OBC compressors and to work to support the BCS Sales staff to achieve the growth target for the group.• To assist and have financial input with the company forecasts for field service and have comments on field service operations and markets for the monthly management summary report.• To provide effective leadership to colleagues and subordinate coworkers, and to support management.• To inform the supervisor and/or management of any deficiency potential deficiency or non-compliance with company policy or procedure within or outside the area of responsibility.• To ensure all safety requirements according to the company’s safety manual are met and to strictly enforce a zero tolerance policy.

• Provide technical support to customers, execute repair and reconditioning services and to build and maintain customer relations• Ensure technical requirements, procedures, specifications and standards for any service activities are understood, and to ensure servicing, repairing, cleaning, reassembling, running in and commissioning are being performed in accordance with said procedures• Assist negotiating agreements and/or contracts with customers, review and screen customer terms and conditions, and ensure delivery requirements, deadlines, targets and/or milestones are met.• Compile proposals for engineering, repair and reconditioning orders including turn-key and relocation of equipment.• To plan and control said projects/proposals• Provide effective leadership to colleagues and subordinate coworkers, and to support management.• Ensure all safety requirements are met according to OSHA regulations and to the companies safety manual, and to strictly enforce a “0” tolerance policy.

• Fulfill all contracting work for compressor installations between take-over from „Sales“ until customer has signed the acceptance certificate• Responsibility for a technically sound compressor plant solution at reasonable cost• Responsible to stay within the budgeted cost calculated by „Sales“• Discuss the costs of accessories with „Sales“ if the budget can not be met• Responsible to deliver the compressor plant in time• Responsible to assist sales in the costing and negations of compressors plant systems
