Heather is currently a substance abuse counselor with experience in helping both adolescents and adults. Her background, both professional and personal, in mental health and substance abuse allow her to be able to connect and help people in a more understanding manner. She currently has her LCDC license, a BA in psychology, and is working on an MA in forensic psychology in order to pursue her LPC license and a PhD. Her hope is to one day be able to help and advocate for those battling mental health, addiction, and the criminal justice system.Heather is passionate about helping others navigate the road to recovery and advocacy during times of trouble and success. She believes that people are always learning, adjusting, and evolving and that receiving guidance during this is a healthy and beneficial choice. People are created as social beings and are not meant to walk through life alone.Whether you are looking for a group setting for support and help or just one-on-one time with a counselor, Heather has the ability to fill your needs.
