Payroll Analyst
CurrentProcess biweekly, multi-state payroll in Workday for approximately 1,000 exempt and nonexempt employees.Process payroll information including time and attendance detail, settlement review, off-cycle checks, and employee record maintenance. Provide support to Benefits, HRIS, Finance, and Human Resources.Reviews post-payroll activities such as management reports, month-end close, and reconciliation.Serves as payroll point of contact regarding payroll taxes, retirement contributions, benefit deductions, unemployment insurance, and Workers’ compensation. Register state taxes and keep track of correspondence with the cities regarding tax IDs.Work with HR to ensure new hires, terminations, and retroactive processing requests are entered promptly and accurately. Manage employee payroll-related questions and concerns from managers. Review post-payroll activities such as vendor integrations, bank funding, and reconciliation. Perform audits and analyze reports to identify and resolve payroll, compliance, and disbursement issues. Oversee development of payroll process and procedure documentation and training documentation.Maintain and update employee and management payroll instructions, materials, policies, and procedures on the company website.
