Heather Branham obtained a Master of Science degree in Accounting at Sam Houston State University in August 2012, where she then began her professional career at KPMG LLP. Heather has become a licensed CPA in the state of Texas in January of 2017. During her time at KPMG, she had experience performing financial statement audits, audits of internal controls over financial reporting, and quarterly reviews for a variety of industries in the greater Houston area, including downstream and midstream oil and gas, oilfield services, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and construction. Heather had extensive exposure to SEC reporting, group reporting and private filings, working with large globally operating clients requiring extensive consolidation and complex tax structures.Since joining Weinstein Spira in November 2020, Heather has worked with a number of small businesses in the Houston market, ranging from inventory-intensive steel manufacturers and distributors, wireless communications providers, contractors, software developers, restaurants, and oil field staffing agencies. She has built long lasting relationships with her clients, helping them through multifaceted accounting matters to strengthen and expand their businesses while maintaining compliance with the accounting standards under-which they report. Heather has also had the opportunity to perform internal functions within the firm, through training and developing young professionals, blog writing and business development, and playing a substantial role in various committees focused on continuous process and performance improvements.Heather is a performance-driven and dedicated accounting professional offering a strong attention to accuracy, detail and the important ability to operate in a deadline-driven team environment.
