I am a poet and writer, while my "day job" is in program management in regional cancer research, Victoria, Australia. My working background spans over 30 years working in healthcare and education across New Zealand and Australia, in the fields of Palliative Care, Aged Care and Clinical Education and Training. My roles have included clinical areas of counselling and social work, education, project work, management and health promotion. As well, I have recently tutored for the Wicking Institute for Dementia research and education, University of Tasmania, and worked as a clinical facilitator for Deakin University in the School of Psychology’s Unit on Collaborative Practice in Healthcare. My published work includes "A Random Caller - cancer poetry" published by Ginninderra Press, SA; "Different but the same; young people talk about living with serious illness" (Lothian, Melbourne, 1998), and academic journal articles.
