After spending 8 years in the People Development function, an integral part of our larger Workforce and Organisational Development Department here at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, I feel I can successfully demonstrate the right passion for co-production and role model the relevant skills and knowledge to support local people into great careers in the NHS. My current position has allowed me to gain knowledge and experience of apprenticeships, careers and pathways to employment, community engagement programmes and pre-employment programmes. During this time, I have continued my professional development by completing various teaching, facilitation and assessing qualifications, an ILM coaching and Mentoring course and an apprenticeship in Learning and development. I thrive for new knowledge which I can use to better support those around me. I feel there is no better way to promote the amazing pathways the NHS offer, then completing and experiencing them myself. As part of my most recent Learning and Development Consultant apprenticeship Qualification, which allows me associate CIPD membership, I focussed on project management and delivery allowing me to gain new organisational and strategic perspective. I currently have management responsibility for a small but dedicated team. In my previous NHS roles, I have also experienced supervising and supporting staff in a variety of work and classroom settings. My experiences have allowed me to grow my leadership and influencing skills enabling me to lead, manage and motivate staff. I am highly motivated and passionate about improving job opportunities for people in our system, working with school leavers/ young adults and members of the local community.
