Lead desk personnel. Answering multi-line phone system, registrations, selling memberships, billing issues, facility tours, ordering office supplies, promotional billing, member engagement and member services were just a few of my everyday tasks. Building a relationship and developing trust with members/clients is vital and especially in today’s world.I wore many hats, so to speak, so I was responsible for potential volunteers that may be referred to our facility. These volunteers were college students, high school students (who needed hours for Sociology class and National Honor Society) and everyday adults. I worked closely with Northbrook Police Department regarding kids who were referred by them to complete hours required by the court. Applications were to be completed and a background check to determine their eligibility. After they’re approved and I had interviewed them, these volunteers were placed with different departments throughout the Y, depending upon their interests/expertise. Assisting with events, community outreach and coordination within our facility were also a few of my duties.

Provided all back office support, including telephone support, job scheduling, accounting and insurance. Business development and marketing were also important job duties. Increased customer base by developing marketing strategies to increase sales, and facilitated processes to ensure all electrical licenses were current.
