A few years ago, I was struggling building meaningful connections with my track athletes. In order to do better, I had to learn better. The desire to improve led me to pursue a master's degree in Applied Sport Psychology which is simply developing the tools we need to consistently perform at a higher level. This degree has given me the opportunity to work with athlete's at the College of Southern Idaho. The best part of the job is getting to know the athlete's on a personal level and working together to create more self-awareness. I learn from each and every one. In an effort to use our limited time more productively, I have become certified in DISC profiling for athletes. This particular DISC assessment is the only one I'm aware of which is specifically for athletes, coaches and sports admins. It has also been certified as reliable by a third party. I am very excited about this unique service and believe it can benefit every team and coach.Along with the inner game, I am also passionate about the physical side of performance. It is my responsibility to provide the best training environment possible for the track athletes. This thirst for knowledge has taken me all over the country to clinics where I try to learn from the best. I am constantly inspired by the knowledge and expertise of others and am so grateful they choose to freely share it. I am currently learning about the neurological side of performance and how our posture is set. It is really fascinating and hopfully it translates into the team performing better. I love what I do!!
