As part of my university course, I undertook a year in industry within the Project Management department at Xerox. This role involved co-ordinating the translation of a project throughout its complete lifecycle. It heavily relied upon professional communication skills to interact between internal departments, external suppliers and with the customer in order to complete the work to set industry standards and to strict deadlines. I was also given responsibility of conducting account analysis to provide financial data and key metrics to the higher Managers and presenting statistics on individual, on-going projects.

In this role, I was appointed to help 1st year students taking the Business Applications module gain a better understanding of the module itself and to practice models set out in their lectures and tutorials. The aim of this was to aid their studies and their comprehension of the module as a whole.
