In the Soil Management and Sugar Beet Research Unit with USDA-ARS, I contribute to projects focusing on understanding the presence and role of microorganisms in healthy soil microbiomes. Specifically, I use computational bioinformatics and multiple statistical techniques to understand how soil microbes, microbial functions, and other soil health indicators can be used to interpret soil health on a national scale. I am also currently exploring best practices for quantifying microbial communities. Additionally, I am involved in many other collaborative projects.
