Job entails supporting Study Directors by writing in vivo toxicology protocols (often with bone, immunology, safety pharmacology and neurological endpoints), experimental procedures, reports and S.O.P.s. Client contact duties may include tours of the facility, updates, summaries of data, advising on study plans and answering queries or assisting with altering/amending existing study plans to meet the client’s needs. Oversight for making sure activities are compliant with GLP/OECD standards and writing deviations of same if required. Supervisory tasks may include oversight of activities in analytical chemistry, DMPK, pharmacy, clinical pathology, histopathology, immunology, safety pharmacology, necropsy, shipping and any daily technical activities involved in running in vivo toxicology projects (mouse/rat/rabbit/dog/monkey general toxicology studies). General experience: have designed, run and written the protocols and final reports for studies of all designs and lengths, from MTD to carcinogenicity. Completed 4 year term as acting representative on the company IACUC (In-vivo Animal Care and Use Committee). Familiarity with functioning under FDA/OECD/ICH/EMEA guideline requirements and working with auditors from AALAC/CCAC/FDA etc, assembling and filing reports to these bodies.Specialties: Reproductive, Juvenile, Inhalation and General Preclinical Toxicology
