I am the Human Resources Coordinator for MARC Community Resources. I have a wealth of hands-on experience, knowledge and expertise in advocacy, the education field and the disability community. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education, an Early Childhood/Special Ed teaching certification in the State of Connecticut and a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society of Education. Additionally, I am the Vice Chair for Camp Harkness Advisory Committee- our state park for people with disabilities, the former Vice President of Special Education Equity for Kids of CT (SEEK), the former Vice President of Save the Kid, a State Task Force Board Member for ESF-15 Diverse Community Outreach a Division of Emergency Management & Homeland Security and a parent mentor for the Connecticut Family Support Network, supporting families who have children with disabilities. I received a State of Connecticut Official Citation as well as an Empowerment Award in recognition of my hard work towards helping to keep Camp Harkness open when drastic budget cuts threatened the state park’s closure.
