While looking for a teaching job, Heather is working in the offices of Weiss North America. She began with data entry as the company moved to a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and needed employees to enter history. She also made templates for some new forms the company has begun using. She has since moved to the Purchasing and Production department where she creates production orders for the warehouse and purchases items needed for those jobs as well as forecasted needs given to her by the head purchaser. Heather also has written out new processes and procedures for employees to follow as they begin using their new system and trained employees on how to use the system.

Heather worked as a "Sellebrity" on the floor by placing merchandise, marking clearance items, organizing the store, unloading shipment, assisting customers, clearing unwanted merchandise from fitting room, and restocking the store floor.

Heather worked as a student worked in the Athletic Department during her three years at Indiana Wesleyan University. She checked ID's at the gates, collected money and made change for tickets, and interacted with the event attendees, giving directions to visitors of the campus. She also worked the concession stand where she used time management skills to prepare food while taking orders, collecting money, and making change.

Heather was hired temporarily at Wiseco Performance Products (owned by Performance Motorsports Inc.) to work first as the company's operator, and then in the customer service department processing Returned Materials Authorizations (RMAs). She interacted with customers on a daily basis both on the phone and in person, processed online orders, authorized flagged online orders, answered phone calls and directed callers to the correct department, and entering tracking information for online orders. While processing RMAs, she used the Mas ERP system to find and print documents and fill out information on the RMA form. She categorized RMAs based on the nature of the return.

For one month, Heather worked in the offices of the Aloft Hotel in Cleveland when they first opened to help set up filing systems and organize paperwork and documents. She alphabetized files for their major vendors and set up employee files. During this time, she also worked in the offices of The Bertram Inn and Conference Center doing similar tasks as well as handling sensitive documents that needed filed, such as financial records. This job ended when she went back to school that fall.
