•Working as a student ambassador you have to be approachable and friendly. •I enjoy representing my University because it gives me the chance to help potential students in their decision making in a really important life decision. I am always honest with people and am not afraid to admit I do not know everything but I always make the effort to find someone who does.•I have found I take instruction well and work well both within a team and individually.•Through being a student ambassador I have had the privilege to mentor two wonderful comprehensive students in local Plymouth schools on a weekly basis, supervise projects with kids under the care of social services and many more fantastic programs through which I have learnt a lot.

•Working with challenging kids, aged 11-19 has enhanced my ability to work within a group, to explain things clearly and precisely and to have patience.•Each sailing trip usually lasts 5-6 days so I need to be hard working and dedicated whilst at sea. •I am a good judge of character and have the ability to assess peoples ability to conduct a task easily.•Alongside supervising on such trips I am aiming to better my skills and achieve further qualifications in this field.

I have the position on assistant cook on a traditional square rigger named Stavros S Niarchos, my position requires me to be punctual and organised.

•CPAS is a non-profit organisation that runs children camps in a christian environment. The camp I volunteer with is based on a 'working farm for city kids' in west Wales. My position requires me to act as a temporary guardian and to organize activities for the children. •CPAS Ventures is a Christian camp for children ages 6-12, it is held every summer for a week on a working farm. I am dedicated whilst ‘on camp' as you have to stay enthusiastic and energetic despite waking at half 5 and going to bed at half 11.•I have to be punctual and organised with each activity organised for the children. Without clear instruction the activity does not run smoothly.•I have learnt to stay calm and clear headed in difficult situations despite my own emotions, I feel like this is important when dealing with vulnerable individuals.

My role was to assist the instructor throughout the session, to teach moves and aid children before gradings. I volunteered with children from the age 4-7 years old and 8-13 years old. I had to finish volunteering as doing 8 hours a week resulted in me getting distracted from my education.
