Lead Qa
Within IG, I work alongside the development and product team to deliver high quality iGaming solutions to our clients. This has been achieved by refining the test process with the appropriate tools, setting bug reporting standards and expanding the team with others who share the same passion and enthusiasm.
Test Manager
As the Test Manager, I have multiple responsibilities to maintain the testing standards of the company.Working closely with the project managers and developers, I write acceptance criteria and test cases to outline the required steps to verify new and existing features. When reporting bugs, I ensure they contain rich detail to help identify the root cause more quickly and efficiently. These details include reproduction steps, environment, logs and what the expected behaviour was versus what actually occurred. When I am not testing products, I am researching on how to keep our processes up to date and produce quality work. This involves writing up templates for raising defects, outlining the testing process that should be followed in each project and defect management (e.g. what to do with bugs with insufficient information, the ideal workflow of a bug).
Qa Engineer
As a QA Engineer, the main focus of my role was executing testing on cybersecurity products during feature development. Included in these tests were functional, integration and regression testing. I reported to the Test Manager and attended stand up every morning to discuss testing progression or blocking issues, determining whether or not it would impact the projected completion time. As it was an agile environment, the work was planned out over two-week iterations. During these two weeks, the team would be involved in activities such as backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives.I spent some time working as a test lead, working out the testing requirements for specific feature development and splitting the tasks out with my other teammate. The progress was recorded during execution to find the outcome of estimated vs actual time spent testing as it would help with future estimations of the feature.
Digital Ux Tester
In this role, I worked as the tester across multiple projects which all followed agile workflows. It was my responsibility to document new bugs and verify fixes against tickets for each release. After the agreed sprint tickets were signed off, I conducted regression testing against the product to identify any showstopping issues. If satisfied, I worked with the project manager to agree on a release then would support the live deployment. As the first tester within the company, I helped show where QA should be included throughout the development cycles. Due to the number of projects requiring test support, I also helped set up a release calendar to identify where my time would be conflicted. This lead to us hiring another tester and we were able to expand the test coverage throughout the company. When new projects came into the company, I was involved in the initial set up meetings to understand the scope of testing required. Through this involvement, tests were written ahead of delivery to QA and allowed a smooth transition to the testing phase. It also helped identify any blockers testers may face and resolve those issues early.
