Heather Doss, I am now 53, been a RN for 14 years now, I still love my job, though there are days that I think twice, but in the end, taking care of people is what I do best. Making one feel better has got to be the best thing a person can do in one's lifetime, to help one get their smile back, cause when one doesn't feel well, there are no smiles and laughter. That is why I feel it is my mission in life to help a patient feel better so they can once again smile and laugh, to become who they really are when they feel good.

I initiated their dialysis treatments, monitored their vitals throughout the treatment, closely watching their blood pressure and heart rate. It was a great job that I dearly loved doing, since I knew how they felt, I too use to be a dialysis pt. when I was very young, suffered acute kidney failure from systemic infections, only had one kidney. I miss the job, but feel I am better able to help people by being a RN.
