The Loan closer is responsible for preparing and verifying closing documents, producing closing instructions and funding loan transactions that meet all terms of the sale and have received final approval. On a typical day as a closer a review of such documents such as the Title Commitment is completed ensuring that the vesting is correct. The Closer is also responsible for preparing and sending the ICD and all documents needed for borrower and any additional borrowers. In such circumstances where it is not applicably signed the closer is to obtain requirements to move forward with closing. Additional responsibilities consist of verifying rate lock is good and acceptable through funding dates, Clearing all applicable conditions set by the Underwriter and Loan Processor, and handling the Final Verification of employment within the required time of closing.

The Non-Delegated Correspondent Review Specialist or NDC is a role in the Third Party Origination (TPO) Channel. The NDC Member is responsible for working on behalf of the mortgage lender by accurately assembling and verifying all initial application disclosures and closing documentation. They are also responsible for preparing and verifying closing documents when needed and reviewing all documentation to ensure the loan meets program guidelines, compliance and company policies. This position handles the loan from cradle to grave. They are Loan submitter, Loan Processor, part Underwriter and Closer.
