Heather Fort Email and Phone Number
Hello all,My name is Heather Fort; I am a 43-year-old mother of 5 And Grandmother of one. I live in Ohio. I'm currently working for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. I'm in my 9th year with the agency and have taught for 22 years. I have decided to go back to school because I have always preached higher education to my children but haven't had much opportunity for myself. My degree of study is a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development Because, let's face it, today, you will need a bachelor's degree or higher for a higher-paying job. I plan to use my degree to have my classroom and eventually have my own business. A fun fact about myself is that I love superheroes. Two professional qualities I possess related to teaching are strong communication skills and adaptability. In terms of communication, I can effectively convey information to students clearly and concisely, ensuring they understand the material. Additionally, my adaptability allows me to modify my teaching methods based on individual student's needs and learning styles, ensuring that each student receives the support they require to succeed in the classroom. I have identified several areas for personal growth as I continue learning new teaching methods and furthering my education as a professional. Firstly, I aim to enhance my adaptability and openness to change, as embracing new teaching methods requires stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring innovative approaches. Additionally, I aspire to develop my communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students and collaborate with fellow educators.
