Heather Fortune is the Vice President of Advocacy and Engagement with Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in psychology from Old Dominion University in 2014. She also interned in social work at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU on the Transitional Care Unit. In her current position she directs program operations for the Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP), Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Public Guardianship Program, Senior Employment Programs, Volunteer Money Management Program, AmeriCorps Seniors Programs, Volunteer Services and Legal Services. Heather also oversees and coordinates the work of Senior Connections Advisory Council.
