I am familiar with best practices in reading instruction, keep up with reading pedagogy, and have a collection of effective strategies to draw upon along with the ability to manage a classroom of diverse learners so that the learning needs of individual students are addressed is critical. Additionally, I support other teachers learning, experimenting, and applying new knowledge while facilitating meetings, using questioning strategies, and offering support. I do not simply share information with teachers, but instead work collaboratively with teachers to learn new information and strategies together.Experiences include:*Guide teachers to collect and analyze data and develop action plans in response to determined student needs.*Provide individualized, classroom-based support to implement comprehensive program. My passion to support struggling readers moved me to the secondary classroom where years were spent creating curriculum, interest, relationships and successful students in the Intensive Reading and Language Arts classroom as reflected in Learning Gains.
