• Develop annual gifts from individual prospects and donors through direct mail, web fundraising, donor recognition and stewardship• Manage and supervise performance and tasks of staff associate and staff assistant• Plan and manage Annual Giving campaigns and strategies directed toward member and non-member scientists, as well as the general public. • Coordinate direct mail production with private contractor for new member acquisition mailings• Coordinate all in house direct mail appeals with Graphics department • Responsible for all copy writing for Annual Campaign mailings and high level donor acknowledgement letters• Cultivate and steward existing major donor constituents through regular phone calls and personalized written appeals throughout the year• Manages special gift campaigns such as tribute giving and restricted funds

Implement overall development program strategy for AAVS• Work directly with President and Executive Director on all development and membership program activities• Work directly with Membership Coordinator on all database management and gift processing• Coordinate direct mail production with private contractor for new member acquisition mailings• Coordinate all in house direct mail appeals with IT Manager/Graphic Designer including all copy writing for Annual Campaign mailings and Annual Report• Implement new Major Donor Strategy to cultivate and steward additional constituents to Leadership Categories starting at $500 and exceeding $10,000• Cultivate and steward existing major donor constituents through regular phone calls and personalized written appeals throughout the year• Grow existing planned giving society program through increased direct mail appeals and personal phone calls
