As the Chief Learning Officer, I oversee professional learning and instruction, special education, student services and operational strategies for nine schools across 22 sites, serving nearly 6,000 students. With over 18 years of experience in education, I have a proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive plans that align organizational priorities with measurable and meaningful goals, enhancing organizational effectiveness and student achievement.I am an advocate for innovation and redesigning the educational environment to meet the future needs of society. I support educators through mentorship, promoting risk-taking, and the adoption of equitable, rigorous, and research-based practices. My approach to leadership is data-informed, aimed at aligning organizational priorities and goals with student-centered outcomes. I have spearheaded the district-wide implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), using data-informed strategies to ensure organizational goals align with meaningful, impactful outcomes.Beyond my role at Gateway, I serve as a Course Instructor for new teachers at the Sacramento County Office of Education, employing innovative online teaching methodologies to create engaging and interactive lessons. These efforts empower future educators with the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving educational environment.I am also a member of the CSUS National Institute on Artificial Intelligence in Society, further extending my commitment to educational innovation. In this role, I lead initiatives to integrate AI into education, focusing on enhancing learning experiences while addressing ethical considerations.
