Working as an intern at the Bournewood Lowell Center Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospital Program for adults and adolescence. We promote recovery through evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches to target acute symptoms of mental illness and substance use disorders. I am predominantly working on the adolescence side, co-leading and individually facilitating psycho-education and psychotherapy groups. Other responsibilities of mine will be documenting group notes, creating treatment plans and treatment goals with clients, communicating with insurance companies, filing insurance paperwork, intake and discharge sessions, daily check-ins with clients, and aftercare referrals.
