As the Director of Stoke I work to help entrepreneurs start, build, and grow their companies through access to education, mentorship, community, and physical space. Stoke is a place for entrepreneurs, remote workers, freelancers, and startups to come together and work in a professional and creative environment. We work every day to have a positive impact on the culture and economy of Denton through serving as a hub for entrepreneurs, students, mentors, investors, and freelancers.My main responsibilities are to manage day-to-day operations of the space while building sustainable revenue growth, design and execute programs and events, and develop strategic partnerships.

As the Director of SCRAP I managed staff, budget, programs, projects, public relations and day-to-day operations. I established and nurtured positive business relationships and community partnerships. I had a leadership role in planing successful fundraising events including concept, marketing, and promotions. Made sustainable business decisions and ensure work is guided by the mission and core values, analyzing, and reporting activities to Executive Director and local board of advisors.

I worked to increase awareness, visibility, and monthly sales through launching monthly newsletter, expanding social media efforts, and developing in store promotions. I coordinated SCRAP's participation at community events, effectively representing mission and programs. Additionally I established and nurtured positive relationships with community groups, stakeholders, donors, and customers.

Worked with retail team to plan sales, displays, merchandising and signage. I coordinated volunteers to effectively fulfill organizations needs, primarily retail program and support special events and community outreach efforts. It was my responsibility to recruit and train volunteers to SCRAP's best practices and processing systems and maintaining a vibrant and diverse pool of volunteers.

I used the skills gained through my experience in architecture and carpentry to start and build my own business. BCBC was a food truck in Portland OR. We built the cart by hand, using second hand materials, and bartering for the work we couldn't do ourselves. BCBC Was invited to the Portland Mercury's Food Truck Festival in 2011 and won runner up in the design category.

I helped organize the first ever Green Living Expo to be held in Durango, Colorado. I organized all volunteers for the event, assisted in marketing research, coordinated small events and helped speakers throughout the event. I was the right hand to the co-organizers and helped ensure the event ran smoothly and successfully.

I worked as a drafsperson and office manager at Madeen Architecture & Construction. My duties were all encompassing, including computer drafting, hand drafting, website maintenance and meeting with clients. I managed a few projects and worked to meet deadlines, provide clear communication to clients and deliver quality work. I also researched all types of environmental architecture (including strawbale and adobe building systems as well as passive solar orientation) and new environmental building technologies that clients were interested in using in their homes.
