I handle all print, email and social media communications for the organization. This includes newsletters (print and electronic), event promotions, event visuals, regular social media posts, and any other communication piece needed. I also assist in coordinating our volunteers for conservation projects throughout the watershed. I am passionate about integrating art with conservation.

I am in charge of creating a social media presence for the gallery. This involves photographing the artists work, creating the text for the posts, and connecting to customers via social media.

This is my freelance graphic design business. Print design is my speciality. I have designed logos, promotional brochures, newsletters, posters, letterhead, social media graphics, and postcards for a wide variety of clients. I have also designed for a number of local non-profit organizations such as Friends of Lake Wingra, the Upper Sugar River Watershed Association, Stoughton Area Resource Team, and Farmers for the Upper Sugar River.

My position as graphic designer involved designing promotional materials (both printed and web based), creating in-store signage, maintaining a social media presence, creating print ads for external advertising, and maintaining and updating the website. This position required attention to detail and excellent people skills. With just three full time staff members and 5 part time staff we were required to be a jack of all trades. In addition to my graphic design role I was responsible for helping customers find products, manning the register, maintaining the inventory data base, stocking the shelves, placing orders with vendors, and receiving shipments.

As graphic designer for the magazine I was responsible for the layout of each of the articles and layout of the magazine as a whole. The editor would provide the content and the theme of each issue and I would take it from there. This was an InDesign intensive position which I thrived on.
