Designed and implemented company wide management systems to increase environmental performance and sustainabilitySelected Projects:Designed, developed and implemented an online Process Safety Management system for facilities with ammonia refrigeration, company wide. This was done by building custom tools on top of SharePoint. The goal was to standardize programs across 19 facilities and increase transparency. Presented plan to executive leadership and identified necessary resources for implementation and change to new system. Successfully oversaw implementation at first three facilities. Implementation at others is ongoing.Implemented new project management tool to increase transparency and accountability between teams and department management. Tool was successfully implemented throughout the Regulatory Affairs Department and across other organizations in the company including the Engineering Department and Executive Management Team.Reorganized corporate structure of Regulatory Affairs department. This work included a gap analysis of current structure and resources using in-person interviews, workshops, and review of compliance requirements. Conducted post-implementation review and found that new structure was more effective in tracking environmental compliance and maintaining job satisfaction.Developed road map for Environmental Management System using ISO 14001 standards. Identified and recommended staffing changes necessary for full implementation.

Managed environmental compliance with Clean Water Act throughout 26 facilities in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. Wrote training materials, procedures, permit applications and compliance reports. Conducted onsite audits and worked with facility management to resolve issues. Coordinated corporate staff and contractors to meet compliance obligations.Selected Projects: Led initiative to identify and develop new Environmental Compliance Information System for tracking environmental data company-wide. Successfully implemented new tool across 15 facilities and 5 vessels. Built Geographic Information System (GIS) using ESRI’s ArcMap to compile all protected areas excluded from mobile processing. Tool successfully reduced application time from months to days.Worked with federal and state agencies to identify ways Trident could comply with new requirements and maintain historic operating locations. Successfully created and implemented new monitoring and operating protocols that assured US Fish and Wildlife Service that Trident operations would not cause harm to endangered species or their critical habitats.Trained vessel crew on regulatory compliance obligations and protocols and developed training materials for new requirements. Successfully increased compliance with monitoring requirements for 5 mobile processors.Presented at annual company conference and conducted workshop for vessel captains and facility managers.

Developed dataset for sustainable seafood catch totals for partners interested in tracking market data with regards to sustainable fisheries. Data cross-referenced NOAA landings data with state/federal/and nonprofit designated "sustainable seafood".

Research assistant to Dr. Thomas Leschine and Dr. Terrie Klinger. Research focused on identifying resilience in marine ecosystems and how to leverage that resilience in conservation planning. Subject area focused on marine birds and forage fish in Puget Sound.

Worked with MCI (MCBI at the time) to promote their sustainable seafood strategy in partnership with Holland America Line. Job involved reviewing seafood purchases from HAL and identifying sustainable options based on Seafood Watch criteria. Project also included an assessment of various sustainable seafood rating organizations and helping MCI establish their own criteria.

CLF Ventures is a subsidiary of the Conservation Law Foundation. Work involves partnering with for profit organizations to promote economic solutions with environmental gains. Projects included wind farm developments, nuclear energy decommissioning, biomass energy development, brownfields projects, and workforce housing projects. I was responsible for project management support, business administration, and development of staff utilization tools. I worked directly with CEO and Managing Director.
