For the past several years I've worked as a production manager and producer/director at Ball State University's PBS station. My main areas of focus have been content strategy, audience development, and video production. With several years of producing experience, I bring with me creative and analytical insight that ensures an idea is delivered to perfection with impeccable follow-through and high standards of production quality for every project.That's the job that pays the bills. Since November of 2021, I have become involved with helping build a support network, along with other community volunteers, for the 150 Afghan refugees who live in Muncie, Indiana. I was responsible for the database of volunteers and volunteer opportunities. Our volunteer requests involved arranging volunteer drivers for medical appointments, job interviews, grocery shopping, etc. As volunteer coordinator, I worked hard to build and maintain positive relationships to ensure that all volunteers are knowledgeable and feel valued.This is the "job" that has captured my heart and is leading me to look for other roles where I can use my strong attention to detail and focus skillsets to help other NGOs. I am passionate about volunteer work and empowering others.
