Reports directly to the bank’s Board of Directors. Responsible for ensuring the bank is in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations including; Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Fair Lending Act, Truth in Savings Act, etc. Provides direct oversight of the internal audit department, the compliance team, and BSA Officer, as well as all external audit firms engaged to review bank compliance. Provides monthly reports and updates to the Board of Director’s Audit Committee, detailing bank’s compliance soundness. Key accomplishments include:• Successfully managed and reorganized the Loan Operations Department • Developed, managed and lead the Internal Audit Department, which has led to the bank’s Home Mortgage Disclosure ACT (HMDA) error ratio declining from 20% to .07% in one year• Continuously lead the bank’s oversight of BSA which has resulted in the bank receiving the highest BSA marks possible • Responsible for educating all bank employees and board members on regulations respective to their roles• Developed, manage and lead the Enterprise Wide Risk Management process and risk assessments • Member of the bank’s executive management team charged with strategic planning and budgeting. • Lead the bank’s Compliance Committee consisting of 7 members as the Chairperson which has led the bank to receive the highest compliance marks available. • Advisory Board Member for American Bankers Association online compliance training
