I was the Program Director of Healthy Teeth, Healthy Children, an oral health program initiated by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The initiative focuses on strengthening the dental healthcare delivery system, promoting medical and dental collaboration, and increasing oral health literacy. My responsibilities included planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the activities of the program. I was responsible for administering the DentaQuest Foundation grant, supervising program staff, assessing the scientific and programmatic state of the oral health field in Pennsylvania, developing appropriate program content, assisting in the development and management of program activities, and writing monthly and quarterly reports. I also successfully obtained an additional DentaQuest Foundation grant that provided financial support for the program for three additional years.

The Healthy Homes Project aimed to identify and reduce environmental asthma triggers within the homes of section 8 residents in Philadelphia. I trained outreach workers on methods to inspect the residence, strategies to reduce asthma triggers and safety hazards, community based participatory research, participant recruitment, questionnaire administration, and data collection. I coordinated planning and evaluation programs and I organized and analyzed all data. I wrote tailored recommendation letters to all participants and collaborated with teams of researchers including members of Drexel University, Philadelphia Housing Authority, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
