Teaching responsibilities include Children, Families and Public Policy as well as Infant Mental Health. Research involves the investigation of publicly visible risks and associated early childhood outcomes, with particular focus on the the intersections between public health, education, and child welfare.

Conducted applied research in partnership with state and local colleagues to inform practice and policy decisions within departments of health and education. Foci included early identification and intervention for childhood obesity, improving health care access and use, and building connections between health and education to improve well being for school-aged children.

Conduct research to inform state and national policy efforts in health and health care. Manage a portfolio of funded research projects including the evaluation of Arkansas' Health Care Independence Program and school-based childhood obesity efforts.

Conduct research to understand the impact of multiple risks on early educational outcomes.

Facilitate the use of the Kids Integrated Data System for research to inform policy and practice decisions in the Deputy Mayor's Office of Health and Opportunity.
